Weekend Recap

When I said there is NEVER a dull moment in my life... I couldn't have been more exact! This weekend was absolutely nothing like what I had planned... in fact it was MUCH MUCH BETTER!! I've come to realize that planning isn't always fun... sometimes you should just go with the flow of things...

Friday I went to get the wig done!! ( I don't really wear a wig!!) My bestie and I spent hours at our hair salon! (SHOUT OUT TO WENDY AND LOLLIE!! - The best hair stylist in BK!!) I have to say my pumpkin and I have the best relationship with our hair stylist. It's very important to establish a relationship with your hair stylist and/or nail technician. When you have a good relationship with them you get special perks and they will almost always look out for you when your going through a rough time! Saturday I went out with my bestie. For the first time, she experienced bead shopping with me. Bead shopping can be tedious and stressful esp when you don't find what you want or find TOO many things that you want! But with her help, I was able to find exactly what I needed to execute the idea I had brewing in my mind! After a couple of hours of bead shopping, we headed down to the South Street Seaport, where we had dinner at Cabana. This was Jet's first time at Cabana and my third time! (If your ever at the Seaport - go have dinner at Cabana!) After Cabana, we enjoyed watching salsa dancing by various seaport visitors. Young and old danced to salsa, merengue and bachata music and all for FREE!! Next stop - my house for music and drinks. We actually ended up having shots of Southern Comfort and mimosas! After that, we hit up a lounge not too far from my house called SODA. I have to say it was a pretty busy weekend! lol

Sunday was movies all day!! I watched Kung Fu Panda and Wall-E and threw in some Tomb Raider and Doomsday! I was also able to finish up my jewelry project! SO, I must say I had a pretty good weekend. I did some of the things I planned and some things just happened to jump in the mix (but I'm not mad)!! Life is full of suprises and as long as they are good suprises I'm all smiles!
